Eden Hazard has won the England's footballer of the year award


A big congratulation to Chelsea's Eden Hazard who on Tuesday won the England's footballer of the year award. This was due to his sublime and consistent performances throughout the season, and recognizable contributions which help Chelsea win the Premier league title.

Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur came
second, while Chelsea's Captain John Terry was third in the voting done by the members of the English Football Writers Association.

It should also be recalled that Eden Hazard won the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) honour last month, which made him the first player from his country Belgium, to have achieved that feat, since 1948 that it was launched.

Hazard has join the list of two other Chelsea's players (Frank Lampard in 2005 and Gianfranco Zola in 1997), to have won England's most prestigious award, and in fact the oldest football individual honour.

Eden Hazard won by collect 53% of the vote to be a comfortable winner. He alongside five of his team mates (Terry, Cesc Fabregas, Braanislav Ivanovic and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtios), also featured in the top ten.
